NEW TO REFORMER?
If you’re new to Reformer Pilates, here are some answers to the most common questions.
-
Reformer Pilates is a full-body workout using a specialised piece of equipment called a Reformer, which uses a moving carriage, springs and straps to create adjustable resistance. It can help build strength, improve mobility, balance and body awareness, and exercises can be adapted to suit different abilities and experience levels.
-
Absolutely. You don't need any previous Pilates or Reformer experience to get started. With a maximum of two clients in the studio, you'll be fully guided throughout your session, with plenty of explanation and exercises adapted to suit you.
-
Reformer Pilates can be a great way to build strength, improve posture, mobility and overall body awareness. If you have an injury, pain or medical condition, please let us know before your session so that your instructor can adapt exercises where appropriate. If you're unsure whether Reformer Pilates is suitable for you, we may recommend checking with an appropriate healthcare professional first.
-
Wear comfortable clothing that you can move freely in and bring a bottle of water. Grip socks are required for all sessions and are available to purchase at the studio if you don't already have a pair.
